High Power Femtosecond System PHAROS

PHAROS is a diode pumped femtosecond laser with an integrated oscillator and amplifier. The amplifier delivers pulse energy >1.5 mJ and output power >15W. The pulse duration is tunable from 200 fs to 10 ps. Included pulse picker allows pulse-on-demand operation and a variable repetition rate from single shot pulses to 1 MHz. Operating parameters are adjustable from the touch-screen remote control or external PC connected via USB interface. PHAROS has a compact and robust optomechanical design and includes easy replacing modules with temperature stabilized and sealed housings. Thus ensuring stable operation within varying (industrial) environments. The external dimension of PHAROS is 60x36x21 cm3. PHAROS can be also used as a pump laser for OPA / NOPA systems (ORPHEUS), so one gets a UV-IR tunable femtosecond pulse light source. Other options like harmonic generators (OEM module or stand-alone device) are also available.
The easy handling and high stability predestine the laser for the industrial application in the micromachining area. PHAROS is also an attractive research tool due to plenty available options and due to the flexibility of PHAROS.
