THz emitters and detectors are based on photoconductice antenna structures which are irradiated with femtosecond laser radiation. For use in 800nm range (Ti:sapphire or frequency doubled fiber laser) these dipole antennas are based on LTG-GaAs, for pump wavelengths up to 1030nm (KGW pump laser) LTG-GaBiAs is used. All antennas are mounted in a housing with xy-adjustable hyperspherical Si-lens and connector for dc bias and signal output.

The real-time terahertz spectrometer T-SPEC from Ekspla is a complete system for investigation with pulsed THz radiation and allows reflection, absorption and transmission measurements as well as imaging and pump-probe experiments in the range of 0,1 up to 3,5 THz (3-116 cm-1). All partial modules are easily interchangeable during experiments without further adjustment. For users, who already have a suitable pump laser and want to build their own THz spectrometer set-up, we offer a kit containing all relevant components
