10.09.2021 | New Femtosecond Fiber Laser FemtoLux30 for Industrial Micromachining

Laser manufacturer Ekspla presents a new femtosecond fiber laser with 30 W at 1030 nm, tunable pulse duration from 350 fs to 1 ps and up to 4 MHz repetition rate. The fiber laser delivers >90 µJ max pulse energy. Higher ablation rates can be reached using burst mode with more than 250 µJ pulse energy. This makes FemtoLux30 a perfect tool for manufacturing microelectronics, for structuring brittle material like glass, sapphire or ceramics as well as for high precision machining of metals and polymers.

FemtoLux30 employs an innovative cooling system and sets new reliability standards among industrial femtosecond lasers. Instead of standard water cooling for high power lasers, water-free Direct Refrigerent Cooling is used. A cooling plate is detachable from laser head for more convenient laser installation. The compressor of the cooling system is integrated with the power supply in a compact 19-inch housing. This new cooling method combines several advantages: There is no danger of leakage and no periodical change of cooling liquid or filters is necessary. The system is reliable, energy efficient and completely maintenance-free. The compact and modular design facilitates the integration in laser micromachining systems.
